Fix Hard Drive Locked – Unable to Auto repair
If you boot your computer and Windows is unable to Automatically Repair (see first pic), so then you try a Refresh but that fails giving you an error that the Hard Drive is locked.
**Important** Make sure that the only things plugged in to your computer are the Keyboard and mouse!
Reboot and you get back to this screen.
This time click on “Advanced Options”
Click on “Troubleshoot”
Click on “Advanced Options”
Click on “Restart”
Press the number “4” on your keyboard. The computer will reboot.
Should now be at the login screen, but in Safe Mode.
Login and once at the Desktop press
+ R (Windows Key + R) and type in “msconfig”.
Select “Normal Startup” and click “Apply”
Reboot.
You should now get windows back to the way it was.
