A few month's back I remember hearing about a app Maximum Pc had in the Windows Store. Does anyone know the name of it and what store category it's in ?

You could just ask someone at the site. They don't have live chat support option?

Yeah, I can do that, also. I was figuring someone may hadve used/installed it & know's what it's called. I'm also going to do a search on there site later for Windows 8 and I'll more than likely find it. Just got the Start screen customized to my liking. I still need to add Gmail to the mail app and configure a few others, first. Lost my internet temporarily Sunday & Monday, so I'm catching up on all my emails in Outlook 2010. Software updates are all done. Then after I have the rest of the Start screen's apps configured, it'll be backup time again.

I've done a search but can't see anything on it - although I could find mobile apps for them.

I searched every store category and did a search on their website. I came up empty on both. Apparently they pulled it.

I am using Win 8.1 Pro.

Go to Start page > select Store > type Maximum PC > you'll see 2 entries of Max PC......
Maximum PC Online and Maximum PC Magazine.
If you click one of them, the next page is for install.

No, Igot it. It's called Maximum PC Online. The Maximum PC Magazine is the old app. The new one is much better. P.S. For anyone interested Secunia PSI isn't going to work in 8.1 until sometime in December when they release a new version. Their blog states the current version will work, but numerous people have found out that it crashes, when you try to open it.

    P.S.
Does any one know a way to fix my P key button?
Mine requires a heavy pressing before it print P. I kept misspelling words consisting of the letter P.

Sounds like you either need a new driver or keyboard.

Mine is a 6 years old Dell Inspiron laptop.
I might buy a wireless keyboard.

Try this first for your keyboard. Turn off your antivirus software. Then open Device Manager, click the little arrow next to keyboard. Now right-click on the keyboard that appears and click on uninstall. In the top of Device Manager click on Action and then click on scan for hardware changes. When that's done restart your computer, re-enable your antivrus software and see if the keyboard works now.

My son is a Dell travelling service engineer. He advises "Don't do this at home", but it is possible to remove the key and clean and replace it. There are a couple of very small parts which can easily be broken. When he encounters a problem similar to yours, he attempts a cheap fix first and, if it doesn't work, he installs a new keyboard.

I did have a problem similar to yours and, on his advice, went for the repair. I was successful, but it took a looong time!

I'm not familiar with the Windows store yet, but if I can remember correctly, isn't there a search function to browse inside it?

At least I think to have seen a search box, and I guess it has to return at least the closest match to the software or app you are looking for.

    Think so...

In my 2nd reply to this thread, I wrote......

That's how I "searched " and found Maximum PC.

You can try blowing it out, or removing and cleaning it. I can almost guarantee the keyboard is removable.

If the problem isnt a dirty switch, its a faulty switch or bad connection to the main board. In either case, you can probably find a replacement keyboard made for your laptop for cheaper than what a wireless keyboard would cost you.
