Yes, we are jumping the gun a little here, but there's no harm in it :D.

I've got some Windows 9 Forums up and running for when more information about the new OS arrives:

There may not be much to post yet, but if you fancy joining up then I'll see you over there :). The design is just temporary until we know a little more about it.

Not jumping the gun, friend. A couple of other sites have it up and running. It is already creating a lot of interest.
Are you going to transfer members or should we create new accounts?

Great to see you over there :). I can't easily transfer members over to the new site, so for now just sign up as normal again. In time we may be able to sync across all the forums, I certainly hope so!

Thanks, just added it to Feed Demon. I don't think you're jumping the gun either. If they don't fix a few 8.1 issue's that should've been fixed before they released 8.1 to everyone Windows 9 will need to be released, just like 7 for Vista's problem's. The System Image/Recovery partition issue is plain idiotic on Microsoft's part. It makes a 300mb. Recovery partition, yet it need's to be 400mbs. for System Image to work, as Shadow Copy has no space to write to. Then 8.1 can't play your Recorded TV's .wtv files in Media Center. Sorry, but these issue's should've be fixed during the Preview stages. If they don't fix them soon, 9 will have to be released real soon, as nobody will buy 8.1.

With Windows 8 upgrade within a year, I think that Microsoft finally "woke up" from the dream they were having between one operating system and another gap, so Windows 9 is not far from becoming a reality.

Certainly a good new forums idea!

It could be a while before it comes out, so it's Windows 8 all the way for now :).

Hopefully they won't require some significant hardware upgrades in order to use Windows 9 when it comes out. That was a lesson they should have learned with the Vista release.
