Windows 8 Release Date

    Has the release date for Windows 8 been made public yet? If the beta is now available and expires early 2013, does this mean we can expect to see Windows 8 final sometime this year? :D

    Windows 7 came out now long after the beta, so they must be following the same logic this time round. The preview seems fully functional!

    As far as I know, the release date hasn't been announced. It's probable that they don't know either, but just have a target date if all goes well.

    FWIW, I'd bet on seeing it by the end of the year - so not too long to wait!
