    Hi,

I have just purchased a new desktop computer.

It came with Windows 7 installed, but a disc to upgrade to Windows 8.1.

I followed the instructions to upgrade to Windows 8.1 and everything went fine until I hit the following error message [see images attached].

    Any ideas?

    Thanks.

    Gary

If you intention is to "upgrade", my suggestion would be to run setup.exe from the disk, when you have your computer up and running Windows 7.
That is typically how you perform an "upgrade".
The images you posted look like you've booted from the disk.
