windows 8.1 black screen with white mouse pointer when I login

    Hello, I have windows 8.1 preinstalled on asus t100 touchscreen tablet.
    Black screen with white pointer only when restart.
    rebooted but same result.
    No new installations for 3 months except windows updates.
    Last week or so mouse pointer looked shaky/wobbly on screen-hard to see it to click and windows icon on screen didn't work.
    I don't know how to uninstall windows 8 updates which I think might be the problem.
    I don't know how to login to pc and access control panel or settings to check what's wrong as I am getting black screen.
    using library pc now, tablet is with me.
    Only want to reinstall windows as a last option-exams in 2 days so this is a problem for me

    Hello and welcome to the forum.
    You'll need to access the advanced startup options, which can be difficult at best on a Windows 8.1 device.
    Sometimes it will fail over after a couple physical interruptions of the boot process, so.....
    Turn if off, turn it on and while it's booting turn it off again. You may have to do this a couple time before it begins a "Start Up Repair" after which you can then access advanced option / troubleshooting and then, possibly revert back to a system restore point before the problem first began.
