WIN8 Mail App malfunctioning

    Have used WIN8 Mail without problems since end 2013 on 2 laptops
    On 25 Nov 2016 following problem started:
    (happened after re-login to hotel wifi with new password)
    When opening Mail and connecting to internet, ALL mails on BOTH laptops disappeared.
    Since then, synchronising will start for approx 5-10 secs, after which message: [email protected] is unavailable
    ditto for Calender
    People actually says: connected to Windows account
    Mail / People / Calender will no longer load offline either.
    (Note: gmail still comes through ok)
    Used eMclient as a backup in the past – on synching same happened there

    Once Mail pulled up a few emails (odd ones spread over the past 3 yrs)
    Folder structure still mirrors server settings (even after changing it on the server)

    Have tried:
    Deleted and re-added accounts: outlook(default) and gmail
    Updated and Troubleshoot App
    Uninstalled and reinstalled Mail App
    System restore: after restore all emails were shown again; after connecting it all diappeared again in a matter of seconds.
    SFC scan – no problems found

    Direct login to is working fine – all info is there.
    Also Installed Ezi-Mail app from the store – that functions and synchs without problem!

    Still prefer Mail to function as it should - any suggestions?
