Having recently bought a new windows 7 PC I was eligible for a discount on Windows 8. I downloaded the update to windows 8 successfully but also took up the option of receiving a DVD. That was on the first day that windows 8 became available but still no DVD. Any body else waiting for the DVD?

Of course you could do it like Core but I did like you, Fixerman, as a prevention. I received my copy this past week so your copy is most certainly on its way. Otherwise, if it takes TOO LONG, another month or so, I would get in contact with Microsoft and ask about the disc.

They always take a long time to mail stuff. If that thing arrives before Christmas it'll be a miracle.

Just burn the ISO to a good quality blank DVD disc. Use a good ISO burning program such as ImgBurn (Free App) or PowerISO.

Both do an excellent job of creating a bootable DVD disc.

Good for you! I prefer ImgBurn myself.

ImgBurn is a VERY powerful free CD/DVD burning application. It has more tweaks and such than any other burner software I've ever seen or used.

Windows 7 IB is the best I've used and seen in sometime. Easy to operate and works fast.
