    Hi All,
I've been trying without success install a USB to Serial driver that works with a console cable for connecting to network devices like routers. Does anyone know what drivers will work for this. So far I have tried PL2303_Prolific_DriverInstaller.
    Suggestions are appreciated.

    Thanks

Typically if these things need a driver then the manufacturer should provide one. Maybe check the manufacturer's website and see if any such thing exists or contact them if they have an email or trouble ticket facility on their site.

Have you checked device manager to see if a new COM Port has been added?
    Perhaps it just needs configuring.
    Speed - 9600
    Data Bits - 8
    Parity - none
    Stop bits - 1
    Flow Control - none

USB to Serial can be problematic.
    Which one did you buy?
Did you ask on the CISCO Router forums to see what other people are using?
Also Cisco routers use a particular type of serial cable.
