Did quick search but did not see answer ..

Essentially, I have a new computer arriving shortly on which I would like create a new microsoft account (ie., use a new email address - one that will be ISP independent going forward). I have a couple machines already with win 8 and my older email address as the account .. I would like to get whatever info/data is collected/associated/stored/ under the older email address copied/moved to the newer one - is this possible??

You can have multiple e-mail aliases under one Microsoft account, so you could log in under your old e-mail address and then just add the new Alias once all of the settings/etc. are moved over. It's probably the easiest way to go about it :).
