Here we go with Mozilla and updates, I updated tonight to Thunderbird and Firefox 17, firefox 17 was not compatible with TabMix plus ( unforgivable) and i had to find a beta 0,4.0.4 version that worked.
Thunderbird 16 works with windows 8 but 17 does not, the functionality with the program window is messed up

I reverted back to thunderbird 16 and all is well

I've got the 64 bit version too.

These little problems are always such a pain to track down, aren't they, especially when you seem to be the only one with them.

I've got one with USB ports which seem to work sometimes but not always. I think I've tracked it down to one program that if it's running the USB ports recognise but won't read or unload USB disks.

    hi aceron.
I have that problem with a usb burner on my Laptop. It is intermittent and I live with it. It is a fairly old Samsung burner and I suspect that the only problem is that it is worn and crappy. I suspect it is responsible, also, for beginning to scratch a few of my DVDs. Now and again, my option is to turn on the laptop at precisely the same time as I insert the DVD(to start the activation)
