Speech Recognition

Why do I no longer see the speech recognition bar at the top of my screen with the microphone icon when I click to start voice recognition? I have gone through the microphone set-up and speech tutorials.

 

If this problem is recent, and if you do remember a date when the speech bar was present at the top, then do a system restore.
Pick a date when speech bar was present as your restore point.
If you need instructions on running system restore, please post back.
