Awhile ago, I was having trouble with using the up and down arrows to scroll down webpages. I found the solution by pressing the F7 key in order to disable Caret Browsing or something, but now I'm having other problems! When I used to type a query into the address bar, it would automatically direct me to a Google search. Now, it just brings me to a blank error page saying that I need to type in a valid address. I have tried downloading the search reset plug-in, but that didn't work either. Does anyone know how to restore it so that it will direct me to a Google search every time I enter something into the address bar once again? Thank you!

Open firefox and in the address bar type
    about:config
    click I'll be careful
    scroll down to keyword.enabled
it needs to be set to true
you can toggle it by double clicking from false to true

Thank you SO much! It worked! Only I somehow have it set to Bing instead of Google, so I'll have to go into my settings and change that. That is so helpful, I'm so glad that I can search from my address bar again! I kept doing it out of habit, and then it would go to the error page, so I'd have to go and do it all over again. This is a huge time saver, thanks once again!
