Here's a place to post some Windows 8 screenshots, lets see what your Windows 8 (developer preview) looks like so far. :)

Eventually this will be a place to post general Windows 8 official screenshots too, and hopefully we can see the improvements in the development of Windows 8 over time if they change anything.

I used the print screen button method to extract this image, however, I noticed they don't have paint in the Windows 8 developer install, so I had to download that, and I tried saving in jpg, and png, but it said the save was interupted, so 24bit bmp happend to finally work... After all of that, I found out that this forum doesn't support bmp uploads, so I had to convert it over to a jpg lol

It's uploading right now, so i'll edit this post with my image when it's done.

    Hi Ace.
Yeah, a few hours under the bridge, LOL. All good so far, only problem was Skype but the new version 5.5.0117 fixed that - came out on Wednesday.
Trying to figure out where the directory trees have gone is really bugging me, LOL.
    Cheers

Duh!! They call it the Navigation Pane - as I've never lost it b4, have never called it that, LOL. Sanity has returned.

Yeah it's not very user friendly for explorer navigation, they just tried to make it look fancy with the ribbon control, however they seemed to have left out the ease of use... So much for the ease of use with the tile display when other useful things have been deducted in return lol. I sure as heck hope that it's only because this is a developers preview.

I'll stick with my Windows 7 on classic mode for quite a while until I see that there's something to upgrade for and spend the money on personally. It's nice, but I don't see a whole lot that I don't already have with Windows 7 if you think about it that way. Other than a possibly faster boot, but I don't really power down this machine a lot to notice it if I ran Windows 8. It would take me more time to get used to Windows 8, than it would take to notice any real advantages over Windows 7 for what I do on my computer.

I did hear something about 128 bit with Windows 8 though, (definitely in Windows 9). That's the only intriguing part for me at this point.

I didn't bother spending time installing programs - just went to other OSs program files, found the .exe and right clicked /Send To Desktop and the shortcut appears on the desktop. Not all of them work that way but enough to make it worthwhile.

The problem with mucking around with the DLL or Regedit is that you lose the new TaskManager which is one of the big pluses of 8, for me anyway. Love it.
