Newly installed app does not show up on "apps by name" page

    The app is Hightail and their tech support person could not get it to show up either. It does show up on the desktop page.

    If this is what you are talking about https://www.hightail.com/applications
    It doesn't look to be a true Windows 8 App. Looks like a Desktop App to me.
    You can always pin it to your start page by just right clicking it and choosing Pin to Start.

    Well, It turns out that the icons for the two aspects off the app appear in different parts of the app page. There appears to be two sets of alphabetical lists. I had thought that the first list had apps that were already installed when I got my computer; the second list (scrolling right on the page) had apps I (the user) installed. The Hightail Express icon appears in the first list; the Hightail Send icon appears in the second. Why, I don't know, but at least I know where they are.
