Just bought an Acer notebook and have completed the Windows 8 set up. I tried to download windows media player and immediately after that my mcafee protection showed a Trojan had been detected. I am now being asked to download an update for my driver. Any advice appreciated thanks

Stay away from Windows Media Player... it's not that great of a media player.

I suggest you download PotPlayer by Daum. Much more versatile, plays a multitude of media files that Windows Media Player won't. In addition, it's free and updates are readily available AND you may get it in either the 32-Bit or 64-Bit versions.

Go Here to download it: http://potplayer.daum.net/

    P.S.
Whad Up BF? Yes I am back since I am now retired so now I can give you and Dave some grief, I know y'all missed me! ;-)
