Microsoft unveils Windows 8

    Engadget have a video which sheds some light on to Windows 8 - it looks like it's going to have some radical changes from Windows 7:

    I like certain aspects of Windows 8, however I DO NOT like the fact that it's emulating a PAD interface, using a touchscreen.

    I absolutely hate touchscreens! They're very persnickety and for some reason I don't interface well with one. Probably just me... LOL! :confused:

    I've got mixed thoughts on the new interface, so I'm going to withhold judgement until I see it running as a beta on a desktop. I'm guessing that this GUI is being shown off to try and capture some attention in the tablet market, but in reality we won't see it on a desktop (...I hope!).

    Not that long until the beta now, I can't wait :D
