I did and my pc's had a few issue's that weren't there before the fixit. The Steam client was saying I didn't have internet access. Yet IE 10, Firefox 24, Outlook 2010 and Mail all had internet access.I got that one fixed after numerous restart's running disk cleanup (I do that daily), System Mechanic and the boot time version of Check Disk. The one issue that persist's, is freezing up after a few program's have been run. None of these issue's existed before. My software is up to date and according to PerfectUpdater 2.0, so are my driver's.

Yeah, I'm gonna see how my pc is today. If it's still locks up, I'm going to disable the fixit.

Microsoft need's to fix it's testing of it's patches. They've gone downhill over the last few month's. Even tech pro's have stated that and sent letter's/email's to Ballmer about it.

I do believe that IE has improved greatly, but I've put so much time in with Firefox and its extensions that I guess I just don't see myself going back to IE to get used to it again.

I do find it interesting the market share that they still have, though. Considering how many people trash it so.

I think that is very much the essence of the timeless comments on the alternative merits. - It is what you get used to!

I have always used IE, but have FF as a backup, in particular for multi-tasking. It isn't so easy to delete the wrong one when the format is obviously different. Now using IE 11 in windows 8.1. I have had problems, but really very few worthy of mention. All my experiments into alternative browsers have led to disappointment.

I keep IE as my default browser in Windows 8. However, I've alway's used Firefox more than IE.

I thought about returning to it with 8, but I think the transition from the Start Screen to IE was a little too much for me. It just made it seem like it was going through too much to pull up a page.

I think I'll look at it again this weekend.

I fixed mine yesterday. I ran Easy Duplicate Finder on my ssd and the lockups stopped happening without disabling the fixit. It's a little weird considering I keep my drive's pretty clean as far as temporary files, etc.

Disable the fixit on Tuesday. Microsoft has a IE update coming Tuesday to fix the issue.
