Just installed W8 on a 64 bit althon desktop

    They should come automatically. But, for the more accustomed use, I would suggest you select the desktop from Metro and then, in the usual way, right click and personalise. You will then have the option to put the Control Panel Icon on your desktop, fro where you can access the Windows update feature.
