The only issue I've had is that my purchased addons from Games For Windows Live for Batman: Arkham City. The only other issue is that there's no compatibility tab when you right-click on Crysis's crysis.exe. Crysis does work if you right-click on it and select Run As Administartor. crysis64.exe does have a compatibility tab.

All my games work including Crysis and Crysis 2. Steam works and all my downloaded steam games work.

Edit: I have only had one problem with gaming. Modern Warfare 2 doesn't work but I think its because some of my MW2 files are corrupt.

I have been an owner of a gaming laptop with Windows 8 for 4 months and so far, I have not experienced any problems on gaming except for the occasional freezing and lag spikes. Nevertheless, all of the games I've played on this laptop run flawlessly without any problems. Even the highly-criticized GTA IV, which was considered as a bad PC port, plays perfectly on my laptop. So far, so good.

My games all tend to work well on steam. Got a bug on Counter Strike but I'm not sure whether that is down to windows or steam.

My boyfriend has a Windows Pro 8 64bit on his gaming machine. He had absolutely no problems with his games. I have a Windows 8 notebook, and haven't had any issues with it so far. In my opinion, Windows 8 runs much better gaming than 7. ;)

I'm liking my Windows 8 for gaming. I have no problem playing all my top games on my notebook. It's a little faster than Windows 7, and way faster than Windows Vista. :)

After I loaded the online Star Wars game I noticed some glitchiness in the cut scenes, but that could be just attributed to my hardware, or the internet connection, not anything specific to Windows 8.
