When Windows 8 is released, will Metro be default for all users?

I don't like it and have disabled it using tips on this website. My computer now looks like Windows 7 but with more features.

    It's impossible to tell.

    Two scenarios are likely:

    1) Metro is the default, and it's just something we live with.

    2) Metro is only the default for the developer preview, because they want developers to get familiar with and start creating programs for Metro. It's also the most prominent new feature, so Microsoft could be forcing people to use it to receive adequate performance and reliability telemetry. Locking people out of intended features and/or forcing them to use ones they wouldn't ordinarily use is a very common way to thoroughly test code.
