Is it possible in Windows 8.1 ... ?

Is it possible in Windows 8.1 to keep from going to the desktop every time you close a modern app ? I liked the old way in 8 of just swiping down to close the Start screen or clicking the desktop icon. P.S. I don't mean not booting to the desktop. That one I want to keep.

 

If you right click the taskbar and select properties- navigation, , you will see this window. This gives you the choice you which you refer

 

I just set it how your image look's. When I open a modern app on the start screen and close that app, it's still going to the desktop. I'm also using Stardock Start8.Start8 was updated Wednesday.

 

Sorry. I should have explained. That was just a picture, not the answer to your question.

Of course, if you read it, the first option should UNticked.
But, a caution, most of the thirdparty start menus have similar options, which may interfere with the MS built in ones.
