installation hangs at getting devices ready

    hi i want to install windows 8 after it restarts
    on the getting devices ready
    it stucks
    pc info :
    GIGA M52LT-D3
    AMD PHENOM II X4 840
    8Gb DDR 3 1666
    GTX 550 Ti
    1Tb H.D.D Sata 2

    Sounds like a mobo problem. Have you tried checking for the latest bios version for your mobo?
