I need the start menu!

    Yeah, pretty common support topic I know, but I really need the start menu back in Windows 8. I miss it terribly and can't live without it.

    I can't find any programs that work either that are supposed to fix this.

    Classic Shell looks meh, really don't want to go back to the Win9x/2k era :p

    StartMenu8 looks like it's the way to go, thanks.

    I have been using Win8 for almost 2 months. I also missed the start menu but i found one I like from stardock. Start8 works great and is worth the $5

    I wouldn't use Windows 8 (Windows 7 service pack 2) with out start 8 from Stardock.

    First of all, Windows 8 is not Windows 7 SP2. It's Windows 8, big difference. Second, you can get used to the start screen fairly quickly. I've been using Windows 8 for the past few days just fine without installing any start menu programs.
