    Hi all,

I am trying to write a batch file in Windows 8.1 to output day of week (ie Monday, Tuesday etc..) to a variable so that I can do certain procedures on different days of the week and am having major problems.

If I type DATE /T at command prompt I get 15/01/16 and no day.

I have changed regional settings so that long date is in correct format but still DATE /T at command prompt I get 15/01/16 and no day.

All help in this matter appreciated.

    Thank you.
