Ever since I installed Windows 8, I noticed an issue with the Downloads folder that caused it to load slowly. I thought it was just my hard drive, that I needed to defrag it, and whatnot. However, I found out other people were experiencing the same issue, so I figured out how to fix it:
    1. Open the Downloads folder
    2. Right-click in it and click Properties
    3. Click the Customize tab
    4. Set it to General Items, then click Apply.
    Should be faster now!
