There are so many photo programs on my win8 I don't know which to default.

    Pictures Library
    Cyberlink Photo Director 3
    Photo Gallery
    ab Photo
    Aobe Photoshop

I just need to know which ones are good and free. I don't want to invest all my pics/videos into a location that ends up being trial.

I think I like Photo Gallery the most and Pictures Library the least.

Any info on helping me know which to use and how to default it, please let me know. Thanks!!

How do I make that my default photo viewer?

And also, when I upoad my phone pics, will they automatically upload to Photo Gallery if it's my default?

I'm asking because I have three weird files in my 'Pictures Library' (current default, I think). They are: camera roll, clear fi, and photo director.

I assume 'camera roll' is going to be where my camera uploads go [now].

Go to control panel/programs/default programs/set your default programs/click on the program you want as default/click set this program as default

    Yes.

Camera roll is part of the widnows apps/tiles and can use your webcam/phone/camera...it's safe.

Yes and No.....all camera uploads with show up there as well as what ever you set as your default photo software to use.
