Do not install a malware scanner called "Win 8 Security System" -- it's a fake

    At work, we have a Google Drive folder where the most ridiculous screenshots go into for the year. Whether it's a chat that we've had with a customer or a screen of remoting into their system and the atrocities we saw, it's hilarious and painful what people will allow on their system. I think the most toolbars we saw installed on one browser was 10. That browser was more toolbar than viewable browser.

    That's good to know, but by now this threat must have been vanquished, right? I don't think this is still around, right? I just started to work with Windows 8.1 recently. It's good to know there are many malware targeting this OS, I'll be more careful now on :)

    Thanks for the information. I'm still stuck using this operating system due to hardware limitation but I have a newer computer running on Windows 10. Keep posting helpful threads!
