Dism does not work . Restore health and Startcomponentcleanup Problem

    Hi Techies and members ,

    I have win 8.1 , 4gb ram system x64 system (bought in 2013) . My C:\ drive has 110 Gb space of which only 4 GB is free .
    I did the following to gain space in Winsxs :

    1 - Disk cleanup .

    -> It showed me 56 gb can be cleaned and went on with the process . Took me 8hrs . System did not prompt me to restart and after the process got over , the files are there . NOTHING GOT CLEANED.

    2. went with
    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

    -> check and scan prompted me that it can be repaired .
    Restorehealth gives me error 0x80240021
    [Dism failed and no operation were performed]

    3. went with /startcomponentcleanup
    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentcCeanup
    Error : 14098
    The component store has been corrupted.

    In short restorehealth is not able to restore components and component cleanup is not able to clean Winsxs .

    I currently have no problems with the running of the system and my updates are latest. I just want to get back some space on winsxs.
