after putting Win 8 on last night I have had so many problems with it from emails to Icons on Desktop not working etc. I know the apps are what Win 8 is all about but it seems that none of my icons on the desktop do not work (not supported in Win 8 I expect). My emails are POP 3 so that is not working well. No favourites in IE10 etc. I'm surprised that Win 8 has been released with all these bugs not happy.

Favorites are available on the IE10 desktop version. If I were you know I'd use Chrome though, it's much better.

My apps were working two days ago and now just hang. When I bring up settings it no longer shows accounts or any of the leads for account, options and the like. Very frustrating. My resolution is 1680x1050 if that makes a difference. I upgraded to windows 8 from windows 7, both were 64 bit. Any hints would be appreciated.

Chrome should work fine, it works for me. The app is decent too for email, I no longer have another mail program installed.
