Complete Reformat

    I have done a complete reformat, reinstalled Windows 8 on my computer. I clicked on the box, leave NOTHING. Does the reformat actually delete EVERYTHING? Is there a way to check that absolutely nothing remains on the drive? Where would I look to make sure there is no information left?

    If doing a reformat with windows option, it just does a basic re-write of the HDD which will still allow a user with the right software to find data that is still there. If you truly want to wipe the drive and not worry about it, try DBAN it does an excellent job and is well respected and recommended.
