I had my thoughts about Win8 not being tablet friendly, when Microsoft presented keyboards and pointing devices as tablet options.

What OS powers the iPad, is it a "One OS Fits All" solution? Would you find the same OS that powers an iPad, in a full blown Mac computer?
Only then would the two operating systems be comparable.

Microsoft trying to design a "One OS Fits All" solution for the PC industry is doomed to failure, unless they can accommodate screen dimensions ranging from 5 to 50 inches. Naturally a 5 inch screen will not have the precision of a 50 inch screen when it comes to pointing devices. In their attempt to design an OS for a tablet, they seem to be negligent in their designs for larger screens.
