A real start menu

    Well, that's a moot point though, regardless of the validity of the survey. It's indeed a poor excuse, they just had to put in an option to turn it off, really.
    I personally never had a problem with either Vista's (hate the OS though) or Windows 7's start menu, which were actually an improvement over the classic (assuming we're talking of XP classic) here. And to be honest, I don't think that many people would be annoyed with changes in start menu, as opposed to a good majority who'd get pissed off by them getting rid of the start menu entirely.
