Thanks. I'm not going to install the final version of Windows 8 Pro until sometime in December or January. I'm still waiting on Cyberlink to make MediaEspresso and PowerDVD compatible. Plus, I'm waiting for Pavtube Blu-ray Video Convertor Ultimate to be compatible. Cyberlink lists it's software as compatible, but it isn't yet. Instead of saying it isn't compatible, it give's a error message about your video card driver, even though they are current.Sorry my video card is a HD 6950 2.0 GB. factory over-clocked to a HD 6970 bios. In all versions of W8 Consumer Preview & Release Preview, I used the current AMD Windows 8 x64 driver's and that error message alway's showed up in Cyberlink's software. Their website state's it won't be compatible, until after October 26th, when Windows 8 is released for everyone to purchase. Everything else work's in 8. Just waiting to be able to use my Blu-ray burner in it first, before switching to it from Windows 7 Professional S.P. 1 x64.

I have no doubt that Windows 8 is backwards compatible with DirectX 9. After all, what would be the point of upgrading to Windows 8 if games like Skyrim and The Witcher 2 won't work on it?

FO3,NV, Skyrim and Oblivion worked for me under Win8. I couldn't get Morrowind to work under Win7 nor Win8.

No worries Bro. Hope you have the same luck I did. Games seem to run smoother under Win8 also.

I should, I hope. I just got DiRT 3. That I'm sure is compatible. For anyone interested there's a new addon for Skyrim that was added on Thursday or Friday called Hearthfire or something like that. It cost's $4.99 on Steam. Here's the link on Steam. http://store.steampowered.com/agecheck/app/220760/

I'd be more than happy to buy the Hearthfire add-on, and the Dawnguard expansion, but unfortunately, I'm a PS3 user, so Bethesda doesn't want my money.

Not yet anyways. ;) I got Hearthfire yesterday morning. Not much to it really. Now we can all play "house" and have a wife(Vanilla Skyrim brought this to us.) and 2 kids and buy land and oh yeah, build a huge house.

Atleast they aren't like all the other game companie's, that bleed us dry. Funny I was in Wal-Mart last week and decided to price Madden NFL 2013, as it's no longer sold as a pc game. $59.99 for it Wal-Mart and I'm sure over a $100.00 for all the addons for the game. The industry is truly getting ridiculous, price wise. Especially considering most game's have new version's on a yearly basis.
